Hoarding Cleanup Services Across Kentucky

Severe hoarding accumulation in a family home

You are not the first person to make this call. You will not be the last. Every week we walk into homes that got away from someone, and every week that person tells us they were terrified to pick up the phone. Then we start, and the fear turns into relief.

What a Kentucky Hoarding Cleanup Looks Like

We listen first

You tell us about the home in your own words. Nothing you say will shock us. We have cleaned homes in Louisville, Lexington, Paducah, and small towns most people have never heard of. We have seen it all, and we do not judge.

We come and look

The visit is free. We walk the home, note the size of the job, and look for safety problems like blocked exits or floors that are not safe to stand on. Then we hand you a written estimate. You owe us nothing.

We build the plan around you

Some families want every drawer gone through. Others need the house cleared by Friday for a closing. Both are fine. You decide what stays. Nothing leaves without your word.

We do the work

Our crews come in unmarked trucks. We work room by room. The things you are keeping get boxed and labeled. Good items go to Kentucky charities, and we can get you a receipt. Trash gets hauled away.

We clean what is underneath

The clutter is only half the job. Under it there are floors, walls, and often damage nobody knew about. We clean, sanitize, and treat odors at the source.

We hand it back

We walk the home with you before we leave. If something is not right, we fix it that day.

Jobs We Handle in Kentucky

Full-home hoarding. Every room, floor to ceiling. These take a few days and we plan them carefully.

One-room jobs. A bedroom, a garage, a spare room that became storage. Often done in a day.

Gross filth. Rotted food, waste, insects. Our crews are trained and equipped for it. We never subcontract this work out.

Animal waste. Homes with too many pets need special handling for urine, waste, and the odor that comes with them.

Mold and moisture. Kentucky’s river valleys are humid, and hidden mold is common under piles. We treat what we find.

Code enforcement cases. If your county has sent you a notice, tell us the deadline. We have cleared homes in days when the clock was running.

Every one of these starts the same way. Call 502-496-8336

Why Kentucky Families Choose Us

We answer our own phone, days and nights. We give written estimates, not surprise invoices. Our trucks carry no logos, because your neighbors do not need to know our business. We are licensed and insured. And we find things people thought were lost forever — cash in coat pockets, wedding rings, deeds, service medals. All of it goes back to you. Every time.

Not sure what it will cost? We explain it honestly on our cost page. Wondering if we come to your town? Check our service areas.

What Hoarding Actually Is

People use the word loosely, so it helps to be clear. Hoarding is a recognized mental health condition, and it has nothing to do with being lazy or dirty. The brain treats ordinary objects as if letting them go carries real risk, so the person keeps them. Then keeping becomes a habit, and the habit fills a house.

It often starts after something hard. A death in the family. A divorce. An injury that made cleaning painful. A long stretch of depression. One of our Louisville customers told us it began the winter her husband died, and by the time she noticed, four years had passed.

This matters for the cleanup itself. If you throw away a person’s belongings while they are out, you may clear the house, but you break the trust, and the piles usually come back within a year. We work differently. We sort with the person whenever we can, and we let them make the calls.

How Long a Kentucky Cleanup Takes

A single bedroom or garage is usually a one-day job. A full home with two or three bedrooms typically runs two to four days. Homes with heavy biohazard work, or homes where every drawer needs sorting, can take a week.

Weather plays a part here more than people expect. Kentucky summers are hot and humid, and crews in full protective gear need breaks. Winter ice can slow the hauling. We build all of that into the schedule so the date we give you is a date we can actually hit.

What Happens to Everything We Remove

Nothing gets thrown in a truck without a decision behind it.

Items you are keeping get boxed, labeled, and put somewhere you can reach them. Good furniture, clothing, and household goods go to Kentucky charities, and we can bring you the donation receipt for your taxes. Anything with real resale value can go to auction if you want that. Papers with account numbers or personal information get shredded, not tossed in a dumpster where anyone could read them. Hazardous material like old paint, chemicals, and propane goes to proper disposal, because it is illegal and unsafe to put those in household trash.

A Note for Family Members

If you are calling about someone else’s home, read this part carefully. The fastest way to make things worse is to arrive with a dumpster and an ultimatum. We have cleaned homes twice because a well-meaning family did exactly that the first time.

Bring us in early instead. Let us meet the person. Let them hear from us that nobody is going to shame them. Most of the time, the resistance you have been fighting for months eases within an hour.

We can help you have that conversation. Call 502-496-8336
